Among the 22 Langgaard works that DR produced between 1968 and 1976 in collaboration with the four regional orchestras outside Copenhagen, Symphony No. 2 is also preserved. The soprano part in the finale is interpreted by Kirsten Hermansen, a frequently used and popular soloist from the Royal Theatre. The production was broadcast on DR on 9 December 1975, more than a year after it was recorded.
