As its three predecessors (DACOCD 349,319 and 389), this compact disc with live recordings selected from the 6th
Festival (15th to 22nd August 1992) is a welcome by-product in its own right .
However, it should in no way be considered a diminished representative copy of the festival. Due to the given setting and
time limit, a small kaleidoscopical sequence of mostly isolated piano compositions, selected and approved by each of the
participating pianists, is inevitable, which not only provide entertainment but also inspire the listener. Furthermore, the encores
of the pianists always form a small additional programme which extends beyond the main part of the festival. This
extra programme often holds such treasures that it would be quite inexcusable not to include them in this collection
