This selection of works from the 1998 festival cannot hope to represent the wide range of music, but it contains some particulely rare works otherwise absent from the record catalogues. As always, these are truly “live” and uncorrected recordings chosen with the kind co-operation of the artists, as well as with regard for their obligations to their regular record companies. The recent development of smaller companies which offer “rarities” is obviously most welcome, but it can restrict the choise of pieces, especially the longer ones. Therefore we say, as always, that the best way to enjoy the “Husum experience” is to be there in person!
