The present cd is a compilation of the ensemble’s favourites from concerts of the last couple of years.
As the recording may reveal, they were made in three different spaces: Aarhus Cathedral, which is the ensemble’s most frequent concert venue, and the St. Lukas Church and St. Markus Church (both located in Aarhus), where the ensemble also enjoys singing. Thank to the two organists af the churches John Wedell Horsner and Per Skriver for kind lending. The four motets by Duruflé have previously been published on the “Duruflé – Requiem, motets and complete organ works” album (DACOCD 726), which in 2012 received the “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik”. The additional tracks are new recordings.
